The area of low pressure currently located 1400 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands is still lacking thunderstorm activity. Further development is possible as this system moves west into warmer waters, less wind shear, less dry air. Furthermore, an anticyclone is expected build stronger near the eastern U.S next week. That could decrease the chance of this system recurving out to sea, thus, needs to be monitored closely.
Numerous showers and the thunderstorm activity associated with an well defined area of low pressure, located about 100 miles south of the Cape Verde Islands is moving west at about 15 MPH. Further development, if any, is expected to be slow to occur.
Note: the tropics will have to be watched closely next week since a tropical cyclone could possibly develop
